In support of a task on REDBARON, we are in need of a Linux Administrator (Senior Information Technology Specialist) to support the Infrastructure Security Initiative TTO. Through the Infrastructure Security Initiative task, the Linux administrator will analyze the security posture of devices on a unclassified TAO network, develop a security policy for computers on that network, secure the computers, and develop and document procedures for operators to perform security related monitoring and maintenance in the future. The Senior Information Technology Specialist must have experience with Linux administration and have experience using a scripting language (PERL, php) to automate aspects of system administration. Specific duties may include performing system upgrades, designing and deploying security monitoring services, conducting proof of concepts (when necessary), installing and configuring lab equipment, and documenting administration processes and procedures to allow other administrators to take responsibility for day-to-day administrative activities. Required Skills: Linux/ Experience with scripting languages (PERL, php, etc) / Desired Skills: Experience Documenting Configurations / Procedures All work will be performed at, or near, the customer's site. (A.) Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in administering and building Windows NT/2000/XP and LINUX environments, networks, and domains. (B.) Shall have at least ten (10) years experience in administering Windows systems to include such actions as setting up user accounts, setting up domains, administering domains, backing up systems, etc. (C.) Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in administering LINUX platforms to include setting up users accounts, building LINUX loads, using PIXIE boot server, backing up systems, etc. (D.) Shall have experience in building standard Windows platform loads utilized to build larger complex application systems as well as significant experience constructing batch jobs and scripts to perform automated systems administration tasks. (E.) Shall be fluent in scripting shells and languages such as Bourne, Cshell, Perl, etc. (F.) Shall have at least five (5) years experience in building LINUX kernels and standard LINUX loads utilized to build complex software system applications. (G.) A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is preferred with MCSE certification required.
